Parsonage Farm, a derelict and overgrown estate nestled within a Welsh National Park and designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has been transformed into a luxury holiday letting destination. DRG Interior and Building Solutions led the redevelopment as principal contractor, overseeing every stage of the process—from concept and design through to completion and final fit-out.
This project involved the full restoration and redevelopment of a traditional farmhouse and outbuildings, all in a state of significant disrepair. The vision was to create a high-end rural retreat, combining contemporary comfort with sympathetic restoration, all within the strict regulatory framework set by National Resource Wales and local planning authorities.
DRG focused on delivering a fully managed, ready-to-let holiday estate, with the following key objectives:
- Introduce Cornish-style luxury holiday accommodation to the Welsh countryside
- Full internal and external conversion and restoration of the farmhouse and outbuildings
- High-spec fit-out with bespoke oak joinery, solid wood floors, modern M&E installations
- Interior design coordination for a cohesive, marketable finish
- Creation of landscaped outdoor areas with shared and private amenities
- Installation of safety, connectivity, and sustainability features for holiday lettings
Key challenges included navigating multiple complex planning conditions, ecology considerations (bats and habitat conservation), and compliance with holiday let health, safety, and fire regulations.

DRG designed and managed the entire redevelopment, providing a turnkey solution covering structural works, bespoke carpentry, M&E installations, interior design integration, and landscaping. The process began with extensive site clearance, strip-out, and demolition works, followed by full reconfiguration and reconstruction of all buildings.
